Abstract

The following pear list was developed from the responses ta a letter sent to all experiment stations in the United States and Canada. As will be noted, the United States Department of Agriculture maintains by far the largest peat collection in North America.

Tha author has changed the spelling of an entry only where there was an obvious omission or transposition.

It is assumed that in all cases, except where subject to patent rights, or private agreement, reasonable amounts of propagating wood are available. The costs involved will vary according to the particulat policy of the station involved.
