A group of peach breeders were being conducted through the orchards of a midwestern experiment station and stopped at a tree with luxuriant foliage but no fruit. Many comments were registered regarding the excellent foliage and finally our guide closed the discussion with the remark, "After all, you don't eat the leaves.
