Peaches in New Jersey

With regard to peach varieties in New Jersey, we have been very pleased with the performance of the new Collinsvariety, which is an early ripening yellow-fleshed peach. This is the earliest ripening, good, yellow-fleshed peach that we have ever had. Its most serious drawback is' canker susceptibility, which may limit its planting. However, at the present time, it is being planted heavily.
