G. L, Slate, of the New York Agr. Exp. Station has made the following observations about strawberry clones: Fairfax is a favorite among gardeners because of its superior eating quality. Dixieland and Pocahontas are very productive, but are also very tart. Redglow and Surecrop are handsome firm berries, tart, but not unpleasantly so.
