Yields of Apple Varieties in Ohio

E. W. Ellenwood, of the Ohio Agricultural Experiment Station reports on the comparative yields of leading apple varieties planted at Wooster, Ohio in 1947. Half of the trees were on seedling rootstocks, and half on Hibernal. Trees on Hibernal out-yielded the others by a considerable margin, an advantage of 73.4 bu. per acre for the ten years from 1947 to 1957.
