The American Pomological Society is now 118 years old. Such durability indicates that it has performed and is performing a useful service for its members and for the fruit world. It has had many noteworthy presidents, starting with Marshall P. Wilder, who guided its destiny for the first 30 years. The list of succeeding presidents reads like a Pomological Who's Who.
