Abstract

The Shipper's Late Red peach was supposed to have originated near Martinsville, Indiana. Unfortunately, many definitely different varieties or strains have been sold to Indiana growers under the name of Shipper's Late Red, The Purdue Experiment Station has fruited several strains over the past 25 years, each of which turned out to be a different peach.
