When their Ewart pear tree dropped its leaves in August, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jalonack, of Redding, Conn., figured it was just plain tired, even though it was laden with fruit. But on the 26th, when a neighbor noticed it was budded, they couldn't believe their eyes. It soon burst into full bloom, however, treating observers to the sight of fruit and blossoms on one branch.
