Honeygold and Red Baron, Two New Hardy Apples from Minnesota

Honeygoldis being introduced to provide a Golden Delicious type of apple for Minnesota and other northern areas where Golden Delicious is marginally adapted. It resulted from a cross between Golden Delicious and Haralson made in 1935, and was selected as Minn. 1595 in 1947 by W. H. Alderman.
